Hello, folks. Good morning, or good evening, or whatever lies in between. Plenty new bits and bobs up for your perusal this week, alongside the usual pages, so get stuck in.

If you look downward to the last entry you'll see the picture that I put up during the week in memory of Mickey Spillane. He's not exactly fashionable at the moment, but there's a special place in my heart for his book The Girl Hunters. I've not actually seen the movie of that one, in which Spillane stars as Mike Hammer, but if someone wants to point me in the right direction I'd be eternally grateful. I've added a bigger version of the picture to the under-used sketch section of the site. Follow the coloured letters or click on the picture in the last update.

Speaking of updates - I can tell that you all that work on Strip For Me 21 continues apace, and it looks like I might just get it done in time for Caption this year, fingers crossed. It's all new material too, and nothing that's likely to show up on the site anytime soon, so do start getting excited about it now. It'll feature more Diesel, Borders, plus new stories in the shape of Jetsam with Jewelled Eyes and The Lions of Venice. The images above and below are from that latter story. Hope they pique your interest.

This week's usual update of pages from Live Static can be found here and here. I feel as though I'm racing downhill toward the finish now. It's fun to write it too, because even although I've always known what was going to happen at the end, more things are locking into place, things that I'd never previously considered, but in retrospect seem obvious and natural. Keep on watching the updates to see the gears mesh.

This week's link should probably send you over to something about the big old San Diego Comic Convention (and not just copy the brilliant links off of linkmachinego again), so hop on over to Heidi MacDonald's Beat to get the skinny on what happened. There's even some rather fun video blogs up there which you shouldn't miss.

Okay, folks, I'm off to try and finish the last few pages for the new issue. See you next time.
